If you suspect or see ICE in your community, call the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC) Hotline for all activity in Oregon: 888-622-1510. Donate & volunteer: pircoregon.org. Art by Erica Alexia.

We shouldn’t settle for less than streets that are walkable and bikable for children every day. Sunday Parkways makes this possible several times a year but that isn’t enough. Dozens of kids riding with bike buses on greenways help create safer environments for school commutes too. We need more.

DON'T SPREAD FEAR, BUILD PEOPLE POWER. It is our coordinated organizing and vigilance that helps keep each other safe. It is tested and effective.

DON'T SPREAD FEAR, BUILD PEOPLE POWER. Rather than repost stories about ICE on social media: If you see or hear of ICE activity, call the PIRC rapid response hotline: 1-888-622-1510.

HERE IN OREGON, Volunteers with the PIRC hotline, accompaniers, & legal observers are working around the clock to answer calls and verify rumors of ICE presence in our communities. Last week, the number of calls jumped. We verified that a majority were not ICE this week.
June 14, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Disrupting or discouraging migrants from attending appointments, or closing down or blocking local offices, or interrupting accompaniments to court hearings and ICE check-ins can actually result in deportation and instills unnecessary fear and distress in migrant community members
June 14, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Diverse tactics are necessary to reach our goals together for the abolition of the deportation industrial complex. However, we must analyze the situation day-to-day to ensure migrants' rights, aspirations, dignity, and justice are upheld.
June 14, 2025 at 9:04 PM
A reminder to our community and allies: We call on all those who care for migrants in Portland to build up a sustained movement, follow the lead of migrants, and get organized in the face of increasing repression. Engage in tactics that distress the system, not vulnerable community members!

We are inspired by the mobilizations in LA that are led by migrant families and communities facing military occupation.
We condemn these acts of state terror.
June 14, 2025 at 9:04 PM
ACROSS THE U.S. Peaceful protest actions and mass uprisings sparked off in LA, Chicago, New York, and Portland. Police and state repression escalated to the point of using tear gas, rubber bullets, brutality, and arrests to try to subdue crowds. They did not supress the will of the people.
June 14, 2025 at 9:04 PM
MEANWHILE.... We are facing increasing state repression of those that support migrants, and deliberate counterinsurgency tactics to dismantle and delegitimize migrant-service and community based organizations.
June 14, 2025 at 9:04 PM
IN THE LAST WEEK Between June 3rd and 11th, ICE officers arrested at least 4 migrants at Portland's federal immigration court while many more community members were detained across Oregon, causing such chaos the exact number has been hard to track.
