Federica Lacarbonara presented her research on the contribution of caregivers to the self-care of patients receiving oral SACT/chemotherapy. Younger caregivers cohabiting with patients had a bigger contribution. Contribution reduces over time. @ukons.bsky.social #ESMO25 #EONS18

Great night at #BJNAwards. A pleasure to hand the award to the Oncology Nurses of the Year. Karen Hamlen & Ben Hood. They developed a teen-friendly website providing understandable and age-appropriate information about taking part in cancer research.

So.....this is me two weeks ago picking up my MBE for 'services to nursing'. I need to say that my time as a CNS in Head and Neck Cancers and in brain tumours was the defining role in my career. Happy #NationalCancerCNSDay

Me in 1995 working as a staff nurse on an oncology ward at Charing Cross Hospital UK. I had completed my specialist qualification in Oncology and knew my career would be in cancer care. I would later become a CNS in Head and Neck Cancer.
