Yes, Labatt was the sponsor of the Canadian GP until 1987, when a conflict with a rival brewery led to the cancellation of the race that year.
Remember those photos of Gilles Villeneuve shaking a giant bottle of Labatt 50 instead of the traditional champagne on the podium in 1978?

Very sad news. We F1 fans should always be grateful that Mr. Jordan gave us the 191, one of the most stunningly beautiful race cars ever made. (His yellow Jordans with B&H sponsoring were also beautiful.)

And of course our local hero Jacques Villeneuve (brother of Gilles and the uncle of the 1997 WC) drove for RAM without much success in 1983 at the Canadian GP. He DNQed, sadly.
