What on earth is going on with Hugo awards - China and now what?

Part of the balance is for us to smile and be sceptical- nyt is far from perfect , and yet it is up to us to absorb diversity from multiple sources and maintain our own view,

Wonder if there will be space for non rich, or if there will be some type of entry control?

Or at least revisit my youthful programmed learning - apologies for the awkwardness- I am, I hope, learning!
