Northern Ireland’s headline funding boost masks deeper problems: Labour’s budget still puts the squeeze on working people through frozen tax thresholds, while the richest and big polluters avoid paying their fair share.

Alliance promised change but delivered excuses. While they talk about “balance”, Lough Neagh is choking, hate crime laws gather dust, public transport collapses and inequality grows. The Greens don’t sit on the fence - we fight for people and planet, not political convenience.

Stormont and Dept for the Economy says it’s closing the scandal ridden RHI. In fact it’s yet another barefaced giveaway. Payments are set to quadruple, locking in taxpayer handouts until 2036. The RHI scheme isn’t ending; it’s being reborn.

When racist violence erupted last summer, inaction from the executive let it fester and emboldened fascists. Stormont has a leadership vacuum on this and other issues.

When far-right thugs try to lynch migrant workers outside McDonalds, silence from elected representatives is complicity.

For 27 years, the SDLP, DUP, Sinn Féin, UUP and Alliance have sat back while Lough Neagh has been poisoned.

Every one of them backed the so-called “Going for Growth” strategy, which turbo-charged industrial farming, and they allowed destructive sand dredging to continue.

Great news for Belfast! 🌱

Belfast City Council has agreed to make an offer for the historic Assembly Rooms – and the Greens were key in making it happen.

This is about protecting our heritage, putting people before speculation, and giving Belfast a future that values its past.

Don't be blaming immigrants for having no social housing.

Don't be blaming immigrants for 1 in 4 of NI people being on NHS waiting lists.

Blame nearly three decades of a Stormont Executive who have only delivered incompetence, division, sectarianism and mediocrity.

Sixteen year olds can work and pay tax, but cannot vote. Ellie Byrne of Young Greens asks: “If we trust young people with real responsibility, why deny them a real voice?”

Watch the video and tell us - should those who build the future also help choose it?

A message to all other Belfast City Councillors: Hopefully BCC acquires the Assembly Rooms in next few months, but don't pat yourselves on the back, thinking job done.

This is only the end of the beginning. We still have more to do in delivering a city centre people will be proud of.

They then added insult to injury by bringing in the puberty blocker ban only for trans kids, announced via tweet and without consultation of our community.

This is why they have been rightly banned.

For us it’s simple.

Bonfires can bring communities together, but there’s nothing cultural about racism, sectarian threats, or putting people’s homes & health at risk. When bonfires are used to intimidate or target minorities, that isn’t tradition - it’s hate. Celebration is about respect, safety, & dignity for all.
