honestly, ChatGPT knows a lot about switches (every types) and network config, helped me out with installing one.

ok I have some idea now, btw chatGPT says "Write the Hash to public/version.json at Build Time" which is a way of running away from the variable problem, but I love its simplicity.

sry had to ask chatGPT what is OpenNext :-/ - never used it.

newVersion.buildHash is undefined (missing) now so there is a chance it will never trigger the dialog as this will be stored in vidgrid_build_hash

Actually it will, as 'undefined' === undefined will be false
