The safety of Romanian citizens in the Middle East remains our outmost immediate priority and we continue to apply the most efficient measures in order to protect them under the current circumstances.

We are in close consultations with our Allies in NATO and EU and stand ready to support a negotiated solution. We join the calls on all actors in the region to exercise maximum restraint and avoid provocative actions.
