Lifelong Alaskan, teacher, and parent. Forager and sometimes artist. Curiosity, humility, and empathy are the traits I value above all others. Neurodivergent and queer, but pretty good at passing as a normie most of the time. She/her and they/them.
…that we are a community that stands for social justice, democracy, civil liberties, caring for our neighbors, empathy, you name it — and we share these values with the *majority*! Saturday August 27th at 5pm downtown in the Town Square.

Yes, I agree that the way they’re masked looks very ICE and is very sus. The fear is legit. With regard to people not getting groceries, is there a safe way to coordinate picking up groceries for folks? I’d be happy to do that on occasion, and I bet others would as well.

There have been many posts of these people with masks and no badges but “police” vests people thought were ICE (and may be for all I know) around town, but then others comment saying they aren’t ICE, it’s this annual crackdown unrelated to immigration. No idea if that’s true.

People on the Tea Spill page on Facebook were saying that every year a bunch of interagency officials (like DEA and police) come through to track down people who have warrants and such?
