This did make me chuckle...

Surprise,surprise...Charles Windsor-Mountbatten doesn't want Parliament to discuss this matter, and spineless Starmer kow-tows! They are all complicit in this self-serving cover-up!

There is no place for antisemitism and I absolutely abhor what happened in Manchester yesterday but the Chief Rabbi lost me with his reference to "unjustified demonisation of Israel": the Israeli state is engaged in what the UN has termed a genocide!

Have a great day!

Presumably they will argue a suspicion of an intent to cause distress to Trump...but it will all go away once he has. Meanwhile, Trump has so much history at being grossly offensive...

Imagine a blind date WITH a sniper: "I'll meet you next to the copse in Hyde Park...and you'll be able to recognise me because I'll be the one in the ghillie suit!"

Had a great start to the day…foraging for wild blackberries (to cook) and seaweed (to add to compost in garden).

I actually get that there should be a 'wait' period but this would be easier to accept if a) it came from a govt not scared to say we welcome refugees, and b) it wasn't so clear that 'Smash the gangs!' is failing and being replaced by 'Smash the refugees and their families!'

For my sins, I relentlessly push on this in FB groups. It's probably a waste of time, trying to teach the unteachable, but this misinformation needs challenging EVERY time! Here's my 'go to' graphic...

Please sign Oxfam's petition - www.oxfam.org.uk/get-involved...

And maybe email them asking them to add Bluesky to their 'share buttons' list or, better still, replace X with Bluesky!

OMG, now I've seen it all: you think of all the shit Musk has pulled and now he says this? Dude, the clue is in the word "artificial"! The whole point of a LLM is that they can learn to say this but it's just a regurgitation of inputs...and not real!

Met Police data reported by The Guardian is hard data, not 'anecdote'.

Don't you think it would be more productive to spend our energies on combating the Right rather than pointing the finger? Yes, plenty of older ppl vote Reform but so do a lot of non-elderly. We shouldn't generalise!

Did Jacqui Smith really mean to imply the govt will take on "...stronger terrorist-style powers" or did she mean the new powers will be like the current strong ANTI-terrorist powers? Many might think the govt's strategy of punching down is terrorist-like!

Fair result for series but we really did throw away the fifth test after Brook and Root put us in such a good position! Still, on the bright side...this arrived today...a farewell gift from a colleague in Mumbai...

This, a farewell gift from a teacher at my school in Mumbai, arrived today, just hours after India's thrilling victory over England today!

This how this govt restores trust in politics? FFS! Award contracts by all means but either don't take donations or, at least, give them back or donate to a solidly worthy cause.

Instead of saying this, why won't Streeting say what his plan is for pay restoration- full or partial, and over what time frame. Stuck to this year's offer but outline the plan, even with caveats. That'd have to assuage them somewhat, surely?

This is the most concerning part, a stretching of the idea that it is an offence to do something that might reasonably arouse suspicion of support for a proscribed organisation. Supporting the people of Palestine is not the same as supporting Palestine Action!

430 years ago: Fifers would let the first pier at St Monans fishing harbour destroy the coastline. We need food but at what cost?
July 14, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Love this response to the
Palestine Action direct action at Brize Norton earlier this week. Truthfully, the military should be awarding medals to the scooterists, for exposing the hopelessly inadequate security of the airfield. This govt will look so petty if they proscribe Palestine Action.
