He's a shy misogynist librarian on his last day in the job. She's a mentally unstable motormouth former first lady from out of town. They fight crime!
The funny thing is even their own information they put out warns of risk of £200bn - £500bn capital loss to the UK. That is what happened in Sweden, who ended up not only binning their wealth tax, but they also binned their inheritance tax in order to try to entice the capital loss back.

You can and we do tax the wealthy, we tax them more now then we ever have in the history of taxation in the UK, there is better ways to tax them now, by reforming existing taxes, rather than pushing unworkable, economically damaging, populist grievance tax plans.

Ok, so you don’t understand what the wealth tax people like Polanski are pushing is and means or the wide reaching consequences. You think it is just about rich people houses in London. taxpolicy.org.uk/2025/07/22/u...
UK wealth tax: high risk and anti-growth
Claims of £24bn from a UK wealth tax ignore delays, capital flight (£200–£500bn) risks to growth and employment. Data, country evidence & better reforms.

Anyone who wants to risk jobs and investments to “stick it to the rich” don’t care about workers, don’t care about inequality (which would worsen with this wealth tax), it is about self interest and grievance politics.

And there is nothing stopping those millionaires paying more in tax now, but they don’t. As a promotion for their businesses it is not a bad position to take, knowing full well no sound economic mind would ever be daft enough to do it.
October 1, 2025 at 7:33 AM
As it doesn’t only benefit people who are millionaires, they don’t exist in a bubble. I am not pushing an argument, this is the facts, my position is well evidenced and backed by research. Why whenever Polanski or others get pushed on this they can’t answer, they are populist, I care about facts.
October 1, 2025 at 7:31 AM
There will never be a wealth tax of the type Polanski pushes, anyone who has looked at the evidence and research with half a brain would never push it. It is an economic disaster.
September 30, 2025 at 9:49 PM
Yes it will, there has been thorough research into this. Why Spain’s wealth tax has so many exemptions, they are a socialist government with actual communist within government, do you think they have so many exemptions because they are neoliberal, or smart enough to see the economic dangers?

It is a political position on the same intellectual level as Trump fans “Owning the libs”. Until we collectively as a country get over political gimmicks and populist soundbites by talentless people like Polanski and Farage, we are doomed to failure.
September 30, 2025 at 9:38 PM
A wealth tax of the type Zack Polanski pushes would hit UK GDP for between 2-5%, cost people jobs and kill investment, what would that show people other than we are economically redundant and obsessed with sanctioning our own economy same as Brexit?
September 30, 2025 at 9:35 PM
Trump just said to Starmer: "You're a very tough negotiator. I'm not sure I like that, but that's OK."

Literally nobody would have predicted that, you had no chance of getting close to this on your show today.

I know it is rare for you to do it, but you should do a follow up hour on this tomorrow.

If you go on the press tomorrow around this, would you maybe able to drop in that Guido Fawkes (Paul Staines) conceded in his defamation case brought against him by Dale Vince and has ended up paying substantial damages? As no one else in the press is really talking about it, but it is a big case.

What? There is nothing I would love more than for Twitter to return to dealing with abusive accounts spreading false information and hate, but that will never happen now. I have never seen so much racism in my life until Musk bought Twitter.

Ad hominem coming now I see. Classy.

That is the Socialist left in a nutshell, confected & invented outrage in order to be able to morally pontificate about others, the second anyone calls that out or pushes back, toys come out the pram and you flounce off in huff to find someone who will just accept your opinion without question.
November 21, 2024 at 6:43 PM
You invented Labour's position and motive behind the decision to means test WFA, completely fabricated it and then made an opinion on the invention to make out Labour are malevolent. If you have to lie to get an opinion, you have no opinion.

When you quote a post within a thread, the only people who see the quote are the people in that thread, for it to be a pile-on I would have had to quote it to my timeline.

I think we are open for some players in Jan, but I think it will be if we can move on someone big we have wanted long term, Diaz, Gakpo type signings who we have tracked long term.
