Day 3 of mass protests in Tbilisi! This is unprecedented for Georgia in scale and scope - self-organized, with no single political leader or organization driving them. Tens of thousands are demanding two things: restoring Georgia’s path to the EU and holding new, clean, and fair elections.

Georgian Dream has transformed the police into an instrument of repression. In an unprecedented display of force, officers are reportedly using loudspeakers to verbally assault and abuse demonstrators. Such tactics represent a significant escalation in the suppression of peaceful protests.

This could mark a tipping point for #Georgia. Tonight, the streets of Tbilisi are filled with a powerful wave of dignified anger. Similar demonstrations are underway in other major cities across the country.
