I knit Selbu mittens with complex patterns. This is a slow process, but the only way I avoid making mistakes

Depending on the complexity of the pattern, I use a magnetic board and ruler for vertical progress and cross out the rows I have completed. If the pattern also varies in the horizontal direction, I move a smaller magnet along the ruler until I have finished the row.
