for maruki, a birthday is always tied to an allegorical death in some fashion. so it'd be really fitting if his birthday was december 24th, the same day where the human takuto maruki was approached by azathoth and subsequently "killed" while the witch takuto maruki was born.......

thinking a lot abt the significance of birthdays w/ maruki and how theyre very tied to traumatizing events for him. rumi's birthday being the date on which she gained her trauma and the date of his deadline/planned suicide, sumi's birthday being the date he "murdered" sumire and birthed kasumi anew.
