Not a 2025 release, but I played Bleak Faith Forsaken this year and was really impressed how it was one of the few soulslikes to really nail a lot of the noncombat stuff

Welp, I'm in ch3 of zero now so I gotta get through it and azure, then I can finally get to 1st so I can get to this... Trails to Insanity. But SC is one of my favorite games full stop, so I want to be at the ground floor.

All of that categories are cool selections. The hidden gem one actually being all stuff I've not heard of means that there is loads of stuff to get to still!

Speaking of Sports Games that try to be more, you should give the success mode of MLB Power Pros a try. Baseball RPG arguably roguelike where you take a player from the minors to the pros :)

I even really liked e33 (or at least the first two acts) but it's insane how people have been talking about it. People calling it a "foundational text for the medium" when I'm not even sure it cracks top 3 purely for jrpgs I've played this year.

On one hand, the last thing I need is to add my gaming addiction to my mobile addiction. On the other hand, I want to join the crusade of respecting mobile games properly.

I didn't even bother reading most of the "down ballot" categories because they always make me sad. But I did check to see if Hundred Line or Trails in the Sky got any love in the rpg category. Should've known better.
