Isn’t this a beaut of a clip!!

I bet the reporter didn’t realize his words came to reality when Neil was shipped to the Bronx that July!!

Good Lawd I’m so out of the loop I was expecting to see the Atlanta Braves on that list…

It certainly is!!

I’m guessing Neil’s link to the Rays is his being involved with the former minor league team of the Rays—the Charlotte Stone Crabs of Port Charlotte, FL.

Unfortunately, Twitter is out of control with pages I don’t follow who want me to follow them because I constantly see them on my wall.

Ok I’m late to this one. TwitterX has lost me because it’s MAGA city on my news feed. Independents like myself are lost in the shuffle (do they even still exist on any kind of platform??).

I think that was the same thing that caused him to be sent back to the Yankees from the White Sox before the end of the 1987 season. Neil had a great 1986 season but then lost it the following season (shades of 1982 Mets as opposed to 1983).

If he goes to the Rangers, it’s gonna be a chit show in MetsWorld…

Maybe it’s urban legend, but I remember reading somewhere that the Mets were thinking of dealing Neil to the Yankees after the 1981 season. Maybe it was after 1982. Well, that actually happened sort of in July 1985 and again in September 1987. Wish Neil had been with the Cardinals for all of 85.
