If someone proves to you who they really are over and over again, believe them. Put the proper boundaries in place to protect your heart and your mental space, and move forward in health.

This is so very true, especially with young adults and seniors. So many identify their identity and value with their careers. They are hit hard if and when they lose their job or transition into retirement.
Your value is not in what you do. It is not in what you have. It is in who you are — your values and character! ♥️
