Long COVID purchased a new add-on: hypopnea. Fun.

Well it's long COVID. Going on 15 months of poor lung function - apparently I could participate in COPD clinical trials.

Today I reviewed a paper comparing two regimens in the real world. They did a good job, but forgot to adjust a key variable, biasing one group heavily towards more early stage patients. Of course this fact is buried in the supplement.

Bad methods makes bad science makes bad practice.

I know it's time to touch grass when I find myself browsing real estate in Northern Canada or looking at beat up trucks to take me there.

Working remotely and studying means I spend too much time sitting behind a computer. Ironic given my first thesis told me sedentary time is the devil.

It's been almost four years since I've started my PhD and the end is just so tantalizingly close. It's been the hardest thing I've ever done.

I don't recommend working full time while chasing grad school.
