METGE is a 'not for profit' organization, registered and based in Uganda with its operations mainly in the Elgon sub-region in the districts of Bududa, Manafwa, Sironko, Namisindwa, Bulambuli, Mbale and Bukedea.
Sowing of Seeds at Algoi Community Tree Nursery Site in Algoi Sub-county, Bukedea District. The Nursery site raises 90,000 seedlings annually.

Together with the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) , the Bulambuli District Local Government and community groups have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), as firm commitment by all parties to safeguard the park, halt tree cutting, and collectively work towards the restoration of the park.
