Philip José Farmer's first published science fiction story, "The Lovers," (Startling Stories, August 1952). It was expanded to novel length and published in paperback in 1961, then revised and published in hardcover in 1979. Worldwide it has been published over seventy times in twenty countries.

Philip José Farmer's novel FLESH was written for Galaxy Beacon's short lived line of SF for "Adults Only". Legend has is the editor had to add sex scenes to the other books, but had to remove some from Phil's. Later editions of the book restored the deleted scenes. www.bookscans.com/Oddities/bea...
