Depends on the book and how exacting the labour. If it is a rated classic, or considered 'worthy' for whatever reason, then more likely to finish it. With modern fiction or genre, quicker to skip.

I find a clip ruler, or a sewing clip ruler, quite handy! And they make good bookmark too.

Even before Musk, forced recommendations always pushed you that way. Don’t really have a problem with his free speech policy. But the way he’s running things – bots, premium account visibility and monetization – has made the site a lot worse. No idea how this will go, but giving it a try!
