Happy Wednesday! Sunshine returns with some pretty comfortable conditions. High temperatures today will be into the 60s. A few cool spots in the mix. A beautiful day to get outdoors if possible. But, no outdoor burning as we are watching fire danger concerns.

In addition to snow chances, very cold temperatures are anticipated, including tonight. Morning lows tonight and into Wednesday will be well below zero. Wind chills will make it feel much colder outside! Won't take much for snow to stick in southeast Wyoming and Nebraska.

Winter Weather Advisories are now out for far southeast Wyoming, portions of the Nebraska Panhandle, and northern Colorado through Wednesday Morning. Snow amounts of 1-3 inches are expected in the advisory area, including areas from Arlington to Cheyenne to Sidney.

Good Morning! We are setting up for a very windy day across Wyoming. High wind warnings are in effect through this evening for much of the state. West to southwest winds 25 to 40 mph. Gusts from 60-80 mph. Strongest winds will be into our highest elevations.

A magnitude 3.9 earthquake occurred yesterday evening about 15 miles south southwest of Mammoth, WY. This is located within the Yellowstone National Park area.

A record low temperature was set yesterday in Riverton. The record low set was -11 degrees, breaking the old record of -9 degrees set in 2009.

While yes it might be winter time, we are in for some of the coldest air of the year so far as we head into the weekend and early next week. High temps could reach the single digits while overnight lows may fall well below zero. We may encounter dangerous wind chills as well.

A chilly one expected across Wyoming and Western Nebraska as we kick off the work week. While we will see some clouds, some areas will see some sunshine. High temperatures into the 20s to middle 30s.

If you think we have had a warm December, you are certainly not mistaken. Nearly every day of the month we have seen above normal temperatures. 2 days we saw below normal temperatures in Cheyenne with only one day in Casper. One day in Casper we did see normal temperatures.

Gusty winds continue for the area once again. High wind watches are in effect through 8 PM this evening for more wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming. West winds could gust up to 60 mph at times. Use extreme caution with those extreme blow over risks.
