I think it’s more likely the Greens copped it because they voted (blocked legislation) with the LNP on most cost of living measures. For different reasons to the LNP. But try explaining that to the average voter.

I haven’t seen a protestor do anythung but protest, but I have seen ridiculius police and army presences acting like they are in a war zone.

It’s hardly a super tax. It’s a mild trim of an expensive tax break for balances over $3m (0.5% of taxpayers, though maybe 50 times this in your electorate).

Ouch! I agree, based on my other recent postal experience I’d say the postal votes must have been expedited.

I made sure I applied as soon as they were available and posted my ballots before the election. I agree that postal votes should be posted earlier than currently required.

I sumbitted a postal vote this year. An email was sent to me the following day advising it had been received by the AEC. I found it to be a good process.

I think what we’ve established here is that a) no one actually said that, b) Australia (#auspol) and New Zealand are different countries and c) none of us care what people in the USA think of us. We do wonder if people think at all there sometimes, but that tends to be the limit to the curiosity 😚🦘
