We just got speed bumps on our street (SF outer avenues), and I am astonished that it happened. Apparently we who wanted a safer street out-shouted the “nah” people. Small victories!

A high school classmate (over on fb) said “there was no fact checking before Obama.” What made it extra-special was that I had had lunch THE DAY BEFORE with the fact checker from the first magazine I worked at (in the late 80s). I started to type a response, then decided life is too short…
