It’s actually a white clay body. The chunky speckles are from Mayco Sandstone glaze.

Take the class. You’ll learn new things, meet new people, get out of the house. Home studios are great too but can’t replace the socialization and knowledge sharing of a community space.

I would keep the star because it’s cute. Eliminate the cup and the ornaments, and maybe the square plate.

What glazes do you have available? I’ve been throwing about 6 months and there is so much to learn about glazing. If you’re going to be dipping, try dipping 2/3 of the piece in one glaze, then the other 2/3 in another. Try different angles too. You get a lovely faded effect.
