Agreed. Some great points here. I was thinking about how to phrase it today. “Bad government made good government look bad.” Tangible results indeed matter and Americans saw a guy successfully building reusable rockets and were like, “you drive.”

cosmetics (UX/UI) on old tech or make marginal efficiency gains without addressing the fundamental pitfalls veterans in the field have simply learned how to navigate around.
