Amateur antiquarian snuffling about the Mesolithic - Neolithic transition in Britain so realising that prehistoric people were very much the same as us - complex. Vegan for around 40 years and a drinker of coffee amongst other things.

Just heard about the passing of Colin Renfrew. A giant of not only prehistoric archaeology but archaeology in general. His book, co-written with Paul Bahn, is an essential part of virtually every archaeologists library. He will be greatly missed.
