There's never enough time to watch, read, listen to, and play all the media I want to. I'm one of the Muppet nerds from @toughpigs.com (he/him)
Will this Simpsons gag from 1994 just keep getting more and more accurate as time goes by?

What do you think the audience is like at a 10:35pm screening of Gabby's Dollhouse?

I really dug the first two episodes of Pluribus on Apple TV. We've seen similar stories about large-scale mind control many times before, but this one feels fresh so far.

It's good to watch different kinds of movies.

I voted! Globey and I encourage YOU to vote too! For years, I only voted in presidential elections and midterms, but now I vote every time there's anything to vote for. It's too important not to!

(What I DIDN'T do today is get a haircut. I need one!)

Explanation for everyone! On a recent thrifting trip, Staci found this painting, which is... unique. The woman is apparently supposed to be Oprah, which I can see, but I immediately thought it looks more like Elizabeth Taylor or LaToya Jackson than Oprah, so I wanted to hear from others.

Question for everyone: Who is this?
July 23, 2025 at 7:58 PM
It may be a PR stunt for the Fantastic Four movie, but I think it's great that NYC has put up a street sign marking "Jack Kirby Way" and "Yancy Street."

On the way into the big kitschy candy store, I said "I hope I can find some kind of big weird gummy thing."

I think this Oscar Mayer strawberry-flavored gummy bologna fits the bill!

I really dug phase two of the DeMultiverse by @jmdematteis.bsky.social! Once again all the stories are great but this time around Godsend really grabbed me with its various twists and turns.

I'm sure everyone is saying this, but I'm ready for phase three!

I hesitate to be That Guy, but I think you're thinking of these guards. The door knockers are just generally cranky.

Ah, yes. I'm glad I put this on the calendar. I'd hate to forget about it.

Taco Bell is one of the few fast, inexpensive places that vegetarian Staci and I can always agree on!

Are you astounded by these others? (Note that I recently deleted Buffalo Wild Wings.)

While searching for something else on JustWatch, I stumbled upon this, and... What?

This can of Dr. B sprung a leak.

I've been reading my #FreeComicBookDay issues from yesterday!

I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I liked The Phantom. I'm barely familiar with the character, but this was a solid adventure story in which the Phantom has to decide what to do when poachers' lives are threatened by a

Can you believe this was only a quarter at the thrift store?

Spotted this paddle at Goodwill. I would love to know what the story here was.

And if Bill really thought "Poppa" was spelled "Popa."

Rest in peace, Gene Hackman. The Conversation is one of my favorite movies, and he's excellent in it.

Are you wondering what to do with your time now that TikTok is suspended? You should read this book!

Staci is out thrifting and sent this dispatch from the field.

I was surprised to see this in my Letterboxd 2024 Year in Review. Then I remembered I watched four Twilight movies, rewatched Panic Room, and saw Love Lies Bleeding in the theater. I guess that'll do it!
