Finally read this gem this week and has been under its spell since. What she wrote in 1966 and the concerns of 1960’s French bourgeoisie depicted in the book remains terribly relevant today. What a genius. And as always, grateful for @laurenelkin.bsky.social’s translation 💓

My first ever read from contemporary Argentinian literature with Frances Riddle’s wonderful translation and an amazing afterword from Dr Fiona Mackintosh. Absolutely loved it and will read her other books. Shout out to the Broadway Bookshop for giving me this gem 💎
