Don't think we can expect the B-aires to get hurt by Trumpism, now or later, so we'll have to simply figure out how to make it impossible for them to continue as they've been doing -- which is without opposition.

I'd like to see something like this in print/in the air/on the late-night shows/in the protest signs: "You do the crime, You do the time." Then any short-longer list of names and/or crimes follow. It's important not to make the mistake of the Civil War. However we do it.

You don't need to, of course. Not my intention. Let me rephrase: I'd like to see the folks who are pro-democracy consider adopting the successful GOP strategy -- now -- of repeating a word, label, phrase until it has a life of its own and no questions are asked:

I don't know why it's either 'factual' (as in likely/unlikely) or useful in any way to assume there will be no accountability. Not unless we elect Gavin Newsom prez, in which case I assume he'll push for a 'let's put all this behind us'. Otherwise? I think there'll be accountability.

Slightly off-topic, but I continue to assume, based on the laws of probability, that there will come a day when some country we've 'abused' and harmed will retaliate and we here in privileged America will learn about war.

Speaking as someone who's lived in Texas > 50 years, those of us who pay attention of course know who's in charge and it's Oil&Gas. But there's a lot of hopelessness among voters because no matter what kind of candidates we put up and how much enthusiasm they seem to generate - it all falls back...

And the ONLY way I'll attend the holiday party at all is if I know there's a pet or 2 or 3 that I can hang out with the whole time ... preferably in the room where they've been put to be out of the way. P-A-W-T-Y!!!!!

I'm 77 and married 3 times. When the term 'bad picker' is used, it just looked at me and said, Well, obviously!!! When I think about all the time, energy, and money I put into relationships with total loser men that I could have spent doing something ... fun? creative? useful? not-painful?

Reminds me of my cats, both rescues/street cats. The white diva princess Lily asks for grooming from Percy, the orange stripey boy by sticking her head under his mouth. He industriously grooms her and within a minute, she starts beating him with her paws and trying to bite him... He never learns.

Yep. It is really hard sometimes to try to convince people that they need to vote, given our choices in many cases. Yes, yes, I know; but, I'm agreeing with you. Why do we have to have a choice between voting for the Psychopath and the Stupid?
