The dream isn't just financial freedom. It's never having to choose between being a present dad and keeping the lights on.

But if it gives me the freedom to build my schedule around *him*, it makes me the happiest man alive.

I spent my paternity leave working on side projects during his nap times, building towards a future where my work exists entirely in the margins of his childhood, never competing with it.

I still love what I do, and I still enjoy the craft and creativity of building products, but what I cherish the most is time that I get to spend with my son.

If my work gets in the way of that, it's not worth doing anymore…
