Wouldn't it be great to have a competent president like Obama again, instead of some scowling moronic orange clown bent on the destruction of our freedoms, economic security, and safety?

I am encouraged by all the push back as well!

The Daylilies (Hemerocallis x Stella D'Oro) are blooming, subtle, yet still lovely. My little "English" garden brings me joy everyday! :D

Awww, Ronan is such a good boy! It's a good thing he got so enormous because he's got some big shoes to fill. Be Well, Virtual Hug and Scratchies for all the kitties.

Gerber Daisies: Round Two are bringing me joy!

The Oenothera fruiticosa (common name, Sundrops) are now doing their thing. It always amazes me that a few short months ago the front bed was completely unadorned and now it's just bonkers.

Serendipity!

I'm enjoying this volunteer Tulip Tree (Lirodendron tulipfera) that sprouted last year. It's grown almost 4 feet so far and is totally in the wrong place but I have a friend with a big yard who wants it. (a different kind of adoption)

Happy World Turtle Day!
This little Snapping Turtle showed up at my doorstep last Spring. (I moved him onto conservation land near water)

While picking up some parts for my foray into amateur plumbing I was drawn to the nursery department where I picked up a nice Centaurea (Blue Cornflower) to replace some Winter losses.

I love their excitement, and here I thought this albino squirrel in my backyard was a big deal. :D

I saw that! Some good news for a change.

I picked up a nice Columbine (Aquilegia) today. One of the meanings for Columbine is "Little Doves" because if you study the flower they look like doves perched in a circle. (can't really see it here) I've always enjoyed that, along with its delicate beauty

Glad to hear your hugel project is working well!
My joy today comes from the little slice of heaven that is my front walkway, where I sit on the steps and watch the birds, squirrels, foxes, and rabbits frolic.
