Hoping to find a kind, informed, engaged community here. I’m a Blue Dot in a state that folks call red but actually a state that just doesn’t show up enough to vote.
Little Rock AR protest as UA/ASU game attendees arrive. More waves, hand claps and thumbs up than the predictable beta male middle fingers.

We had probably 5,000 at Little Rock’s rally! Peaceful, engaged! This is what democracy looks like!

Possibly as many as 5,000 folks peacefully marched across the Little Rock Broadway Bridge and back before a peaceful rally. Bubbles delighted. Dancing, singing and chanting, again peacefully, was done by an incredibly diverse crowd. This is what democracy looks like! 🇺🇸🗽🕊️🗽🇺🇸

My new sign for the Little Rock May Day rally. We need to shout the dangers, so many dangers, loud and clear!

Little Rock today. Lots of folks there! Mourning the multiple deaths of things we hold dear like due process, the constitution, the balance of power and do much more.

Last week, with major thunderstorms, high winds, tornado risks, flooding and power outages, Little Rock couldn’t join in the patriotic dissent. We did so today!

Roughly 1000 people attended a standing room only town hall last night in Little Rock. None of our delegation bothered to come hear constituent concerns.

Pics from today’s rally in Arkansas. May the resistance grow stronger and may We The People regain our power from those trying to take it away.

This is clearly personal to Musk. He may have great financial wealth. But his poverty in terms of actual humanity and caring for others? As abundantly clear as the financial wealth he has amassed.
How many more will lose livelihoods and even lives because of the mammoth chip on his shoulder?

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone in the resistance!

As a dear friend once told me when I offered dripping water from the faucet in the middle of the night to a cat who played soccer on the vanity to wake me up, I am clearly Pavlov’s dog. I wanted to get in a few more thousand steps today. My furbaby had other ideas. Can’t say that I’m hating it…. 🥰🐈‍⬛🥰

It’s Pancake Day (Feb 2) in Belgium. In honor of our Belgian friends we indulged. And the sunset as we got back to the car was lovely. Amidst all the angst, a few nice moments.

My Jane Hankins singer I’ve dubbed as Aretha, with her Dame Edna shades, a fascinator and a Christmas cap added, offering fun spinny toys and joy to a world that seems ever more in need of it.

Saw this buck around 9AM near the end of my neighborhood walk. He showed little concern with my presence across the street.

We just returned from a rapid fire Broadway experience which helped distract us from our pain from the election. Saw numerous blockbuster musicals. All good. This quirky small one, however, was our absolute fave. It got 14 thumbs up from critics. Anyone in NY or going there should check it out.
