Here’s a small teaser from the 6th chapter of Underneath The Surface to make the wait a little easier 😊
Once the door was open, they stumbled inside. Jeongguk always wore the flimsiest sandals, he seemed to simply kick them off. Jimin tried to toe off his shoes while being pushed against the door that he just pulled closed, and not getting much air to breathe from Jeongguk’s lips. “Are you hungry?” Jimin managed in between when they had already moved from the entryway towards the kitchen, Jimin’s back digging against the sidecounter. “Hungry for you,” Jeongguk breathed and nipped at Jimin’s neck. “So food later?” Jeongguk nodded frantically, then came for Jimin’s lips again. It was turning messier, more uncontrolled, open mouths, tongue, some teeth. Jimin was more and more eager to get out of his own clothes, to get Jeongguk out of his clothes. So Jimin pushed them forward, Jeongguk moving easily, taking the direction towards his bedroom. Jimin’s shirt disappeared along the way somewhere, not even registering the moment Jeongguk stripped it off him. And he had unbuttoned Jeongguk’s shirt by the time Jeongguk fell on his back over the mattress with a small bounce. Jimin climbed after him, straddling his lap. Jeongguk’s chest was moving up and down with his heavy breaths and Jimin finally got a good look at him. He was simply gorgeous. Jimin knew Jeongguk wasn’t a god, but he could have easily been, the way his body was built. It made Jimin slightly self conscious about his own looks, not having been to the gym for a while. But when he was beginning to curve his shoulders in, Jeongguk sat up and kissed him again. “You’re beautiful,” he whispered. And his hands ran down Jimin’s arms, his bare chest, down to his waist, fingers resting on the button of his jeans.

A teaser snippet from Underneath The Surface, chapter 4 “You’re tired.” That made Jimin snap his eyes to Jeongguk. “Is it that obvious?” “You hide it well, but I can sense it,” Jeongguk said. The gentleness in his voice and expression melted away tension from Jimin’s shoulders. Funnily enough it also almost made Jimin want to cry. Almost. “I am a little tired,” he admitted. “But nothing unusual. Just a normal day as a dad.” “You should have someone taking care of you.” “I have,” Jimin said and saw Jeongguk’s brows turn into a frown. “My friends.” The frown smoothed out. “When they can.” “Ah.” Jeongguk nodded. “And I am capable of taking care of myself.” For some reason this time it was amusement that glimmered in the corners of Jeongguk’s eyes. “Of course.” “I have a kid so I have to be,” Jimin continued. “I understand.” “I haven’t had anyone since Hayun was born,” Jimin said under his breath, looking down at his hands. “Anyone special, that is.” “Are you saying I’m special?” Without thinking Jimin whipped with the dust cloth at Jeongguk’s arm. “Aish. You’re impossible.”

I wanted to post a teaser this weekend, so how about the name and the summary of the new fic and me telling I’ll post the first chapter next Wednesday (on the 15th)🤭

Hopefully you’ll come along for this journey, it’ll be 10 chapters, posted weekly (though 2nd one might come sooner)
The summary and name of my upcoming fic Underneath The Surface “Time is a strange thing, but I feel like I’ve been waiting for you.” “What does that even mean?” Jeongguk shrugged, one corner of his lips rising higher. “It means a lot.” Jimin breathed out. “Really?” Jeongguk nodded, his eyes flitting from Jimin’s eyes, back to his lips. “Really.” “You just kissed me.” “Because you’re the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen.” Jimin fought a full body shiver, in somewhat half success, leaving him squirming just a little. “Right back at you.” OR, Jimin lives a quiet life in a small seaside town, navigating being a parent to a little girl and a co-business owner of a cafe. His life is already full and big changes are ahead, but of course that is the moment when a handsome stranger steps into the cafe, eyes only for Jimin, ending up testing everything Jimin knew about the world.

This little snippet for #wipwednesday introduces a very important character 🙈
A snippet from an upcoming fic for wipwednesday: “Okay, once I get you out of your seat, you need to run to the door,” Jimin said when he parked the car by the cafe and was already opening his own seatbelt. “Dad, you should have brought an umbrella,” Hayun said with her dad is silly-tone and crossed her arms. “I thought you liked swimming. Being in rain is like swimming in the air, right?” “No it’s not!” “Yes it is.” “No!” Hayun shouted through laughter. Jimin grinned. Maybe he liked to rile up his daughter these days when she wasn’t as easy to fool anymore. “Let’s see who is right.” He opened the car door, slammed it shut, and ran to Hayun’s side, since she was sitting behind the passenger seat. Hayun let out a high pitched laugh when Jimin opened her door. “Dad, you’re getting wet!” “Am I? Or am I swimming in the air?” “That’s not swimming.” Hayun pressured the words with the seriousness a four year old could muster. Jimin clicked Hayun’s belt open and let her out of the confines of her seat. “Now run to the door.” She went off with a squeal and Jimin tried to keep up with her, closing the car door and hoping he managed to lock the car.

Here's a not so short snippet from my wip for #wipwednesday
A snippet from my current wip: “So what is here exactly?” Jimin asked once they got out of the car and closed the doors. He walked up to the railing and leaned against it, taking a better look. He felt Jeongguk’s warmth behind him when Jeongguk brought his hands on both sides of Jimin, grabbing the railing and caging him. “One of my favourite places,” Jeongguk whispered into Jimin’s ear. It made Jimin close his eyes, his body reacting with a shiver. But as fast as Jeongguk had come closer, he was gone again. This time moving to the side and hoisting himself over the railing before Jimin even realised what was happening. “Wait, there’s — “ And then Jeongguk jumped, landing the two metre drop smoothly in a squat. He made it look so easy. Almost too easy. “ — stairs over there.” Jimin hovered his finger in the air, stupidly pointing at the steps on the left side while staring at Jeongguk down on the rocky beach, grinning up at him. “Come on.” Jeongguk reached his hands up, beckoning with his fingers. Jimin widened his eyes. “What? You want me to jump too?” Jeongguk nodded, his smile growing. “It’s not that bad, I’ll catch you.” “You have to be kidding me,” Jimin said, a little wild. “Nope. This is the fastest way.” “The stairs are literally a few metres away from me. I could’ve already come down to meet you.” The snippet from the first picture continues: “Come on, I know you want to.” “I — “ And the truth was, Jimin did want to. It felt exciting, slightly dangerous. Like Jeongguk himself, if Jimin really thought about it. “Jeon Jeongguk, if I sprain my ankle or if I break any bones — “ “You won’t. Trust me.” “You’re not that much bigger than me.” But Jimin was already lifting his leg over the railing, his knuckles white from how hard he was holding onto the metal. “But I’m strong.” Jeongguk flexed his arms, his muscles stretching the fabric of his shirt. ”Oh shit,” Jimin breathed. He began slowly turning around on the small ledge, an undignified sound leaving his mouth, still tightly holding on to the railing behind him. ”Am I really doing this?” he muttered to himself. ”I guess I am really doing this. What the fuck.” The drop looked probably bigger than it really was, though the rocky shore didn’t exactly inspire Jimin’s adventurous spirit to jump on it. But as terrifying as it felt, Jeongguk was waiting for him with open arms. So he took a deep breath and nearly let go, only to back out. “Are you sure you’re going to catch me?” “Yes!” Jeongguk laughed. Jimin took another deep breath. “Okay.” And jumped.

A snippet from the wip I’m working on right now: Jimin lifted his hands to his hips. “So you’re here, again.” Jeongguk’s smile widened. “I am, just as I said I would be. You look good.” “Good?” Jimin had to look at himself, he was wearing the company t-shirt and simple jeans. Nothing too extraordinary. Jeongguk leaned closer, lowering his voice. “I would say exceptionally beautiful, but I don’t want to fluster you too much. Even though that rosy blush on your cheeks makes me want to eat you.” Jimin’s brain short circuited. He did a strange head shake while blinking. Because what? “Hm? Excuse me?” Directing his eyes down, Jeongguk moved to the counter and sat on one of the bar stools, as if he was suddenly bashful. “But I won’t do that to you. Just here for the amazing company for a while,” he said.
