Fanthropologist. Sometimes I teach. Sometimes I consult.
@samreich.bsky.social long shot here, but would you have any interest in speaking about Dropout at VidCon Anaheim this year? I am putting together a couple of panels for Industry Track and think having your perspective as sustainable TV is important.

My favorite and highly relevant @rebeccayarros.bsky.social quotes, “One generation to change the text. One generation chooses to teach that text. The next grows, and the lie becomes history.”

1) Romance as a genre and how it’s fans express themselves online
2) Romance as a genre right now is where comic book fandom was in the 90s- on the verge of mainstreaming HARD and legitimizing the genre in terms of its buying power and audience scale
Bluesky academics, let's get to know each other! Quote this & tell me: 1) a project you are working on & 2) an odd idea/theory you aren't working on but keep thinking about.
Here's mine:
- Whether we can have statehood without inhabitable land.
- The legal-philosophical symbolism in Wagner's Ring.
