I was lucky to attend this wonderful event on Saturday, Candidate and Campaign training for first-time candidates. It included a panel discussion with Pat Fahy, Dorsey Applyrs, and Michelle Ostrelich. Thank you to @libbypost.bsky.social and Progressive Elections, Capital Women, and Eleanor’s Legacy!

My footprints are on the left. My 4-year-old’s are on the right. The path I took to the car versus the path my child took struck me hard. Mine was so direct. My child’s crossed mine a couple times and went way off to the side. I am reminded every day why I foster my child’s creativity and wonder.

I haven’t really kept up with my Goodreads account, but as it’s a new year, I’m going to try to read or listen to a book a week. Right now I’m on this book. It’s really fascinating and I’m enjoying learning a bit of local history. Remember. They didn’t burn witches. #theyburnedwomen

I am so proud of my service. It changed my life and became a cornerstone of who I am as a person. Service of any type is important and I am so grateful for all my service opportunities! Ask me anything about service and I’ll try to answer!

I got to witness this amazing ceremony a few weeks ago where these young men were honored for an app they created by our Congressman @paultonko.bsky.social and it was so amazing to see! There are great things happening in #guilderlandhighschool

Jonathan and I went to the NY Writes panel last night to hear about the Future of the Democratic Party with some friends. There was a later panel on the Future of the Republican Party.

Regardless of party, we have to, as a generation, get involved and pay attention!

I visited the Chinese Community Center of the Capital District yesterday for a beautiful traditional tea ceremony. I also got to see traditional Chinese instruments being played in preparation of a performance. It was really wonderful!
