Vastly overestimated my skills with watercolor when I picked a tree with white flowers. Horse chestnut tree in bloom.

1 o'clock. Me with an intense expression. A Japanese caption which translates to "I am studying Japanese." and a side comment "or something like that. I keep getting shit wrong. Self-study isn't easy." 2 o'clock. Me drawing. "Inking what I've done so far. This is the most I've drawn in awhile". 3 o'clock. "This hour got away from me. Played some voxelgram to stop reading the news". A crude drawing of a 2x4 cube with numbers on it and a caption saying "A good 3D picross-style game". 4 o'clock. Me on a rowing machine, working out. "I used to row twice a week or so about two years ago. My healthy really fluctuates, though. I'm in a good place now to try starting up again. I've really lost stamina and strength." 5 o'clock. Me blow drying my hair with a content smile. "The hottest of showers. The hottest of hair dryers." 6 o'clock. My cat screaming at me while I tell him, "You'd eat until you popped if I let you". Dinner time for me and the cats. 7 o'clock. Me staring off into space. "Lost another hour doing nothing." 8 o'clock. Two notebooks, one labeled 5 year Diary, the other unlabeled. "Updating my actual diaries. I started keeping a traditional diary in 2020 (like a lot of people!) I think I'm on book 5 or 6? A5 size, usually. I've managed almost daily entries this whole time." The 5 year diary was started in 2021 and I'm on year 5 now.

8 o'clock hour, Feb 01, 2025. Panel 1. Lying in bed, looking at my phone. "Series of stress dreams to set the tone for the day". Panel 2. Standing behind someone at a self-serve coffee machine, thinking to myself hurry up. "I've had a bad week. I'm very impatient and irritable right now." 9 o'clock. Panel 1. A cup of coffee and a cut up breakfast sandwich. "Breakfast grocery store-style. Coffee. Deconstructed sausage, egg, and cheese croissant eaten with a knife and fork." Panel 2. Overhead view of a road with an arrow pointing to the empty turn lane. Two cars are turning left from the travel lane. Why. 10 o'clock. "What's at the Thrift Store?" Items drawn and labeled are: Religious cassette tapes, about a million old sat navs, big bag of cheap security cameras, books of "Growing Pains" episode transcripts in English and Chinese to learn English in the 80s I guess. 11 o'clock. Me driving. "I hate driving around here. I wouldn't say I'm a great driver, but it really feels that way sometimes just by going the speed limit and reading road signs." 12 o'clock. Panel 1. My cat looking up at me with an empty food dish. "I taught my cat to sit and wait for me to pour his food. I hoped he'd learn to sit while I went to get it, but that's a little too advanced." Panel 2. Me at my computer, eating instant noodles and cheese sticks for lunch. "Looking for info on a JP language stage show I want to watch. If I can't stream this, I'll be so upset."
