There were 17 (seventeen!) transients, likely supernovae, found in this data, ranging from z~0.5 to z~2.8!

Over 45,000 galaxies are in this image from the JWST JADES survey. Over 700 are from when the Universe was 300-650 million years old. This same survey also revealed a 10⁶ solar mass black hole & (possibly) one of the Universe's first stars, in a galaxy so far the Universe was only 400 mil years old.

I have purchased a delicious sticky toffee pudding to celebrate/mourn the results of the JWST Cycle 2 TAC later today, so I have at least that to look foward to!
