Lex looks at Artemis not laughing, "I hate to break it to you, but Batman hasn't been funding the Young Justice branch for some time now." Lex would pull out a briefcase and pulls out some debt papers dating back 6 months.

"There is a reason I came to you in particular, Artemis.. The Young Justice branch of the Justice League, I have found out that your team is in debt."

"It is indeed very cute as hell, Takamaki!"

"I didn't know you was currently working at Gotham University as a Professor when I was offering you the job as my Assistant."

Lex looks out the window, still a while to Metropolis as he picked her up in Gotham. "So tell me about yourself, Artemis."

"I hate to say it, but you probably COULD throw me.. just not far. But.. I do hope that can change between us." He does reach out to hold Artemis' hand.

As they began heading to LexCorp, he looks at her.

"You... really don't trust me, do you?"

"Thanks, let's get going, my dear." He heads out where a Limo was waiting for them and he opens the door for Artemis. "Ladies first."

"Hey I mean it, I'll help take care of you.. and your family, Artemis. It's the least I can do for you. Shall we head to LexCorp and get you fitted for a Suit?"

"Then I look forward to working with you.. you're hired, my dear." Lex would hold his hand to Artemis to shake hers.

"I'll be straight with you, Artemis. I would love if you would come and work for me as well. I'll treat you great and even you'll no longer need to worry about getting to and from Gotham University or LexCorp for work. So, Artemis Lian Crock.. would you want to get a 2nd job working at LexCorp?"

"And I can respect that, doesn't mean I can't make my pitch to hire you on at LexCorp as well."

"And now I KNOW what you get paid is crap.. the Educational System treats is Teacher's and Professors badly. I won't ask you to LEAVE your Job, I'll offer you a job for extra funding."

Lex looks at Mercy confused, "Do I now, Mercy? And nothing wrong in being secure in our Empire."

"Then tell me what you do in THIS sense.. DO you actually have a Civilian Job, Artemis? Or like the Teen Titans in their Tower are racking up Debt faster than they can pay?"

Lex looks at Dinah confused, "I do? How do I sound like Mr. Krabs, Dinah?"

"You currently don't have a job that pays, right? And being a Heroine only helps with your status, it can't really help you survive.. I am simply offering you a means to survive when you're not being a Hero."

"My assistant, the 2nd-In-Command at LexCorp. Essentially, my right-hand Woman, Artemis."

"I may be a Villain at times, but I am not Heartless. I want to offer you a job as my right-hand woman."
