Looking sick! It's always satisfying to finish a mini that's been on hold for a while.

I especially like the part where they have a cool 3D intro animation with loud as heck sound just to transition into a terrible sounding mic when the animation is done.

This person seemed quite confident traveling this route and it was shocking to me despite the accommodations made. There is always an element not accounted for. This person trusted the infra essentially with their lives. Showing that safety and trust is extremely important in accessibility.

I am not sure but I think it would be interesting to explore even with this architecture the safety component. In 🇳🇱 we have ticking poles to indicate to blind people. Once a bus drove through an orange light and the pole ticked indicating go. I had to grab a blind person by the arm to not get hit.

It's similar now how many people dont really have "shared shows" anymore. I feel the complete show dump many websites do is completely detrimental to staying in the society's zeitgeist. When I come to a movie theatre most people talk during the movie or are on their phones. Its not very fun any more

This will also help with the age old problem of someone retiring and nobody that knows how to do their job. Imagine all the old IT systems that are just maintained by some folks that worked in that language twenty years ago.

I've always had the thought. "Imagine when you join a company there's a database or tool that knows the skills of all people so you'd know who to ask." A model trained on your company and code/documents + being able to tell you who contributed what and why at that point. This would be super useful.

Don't get me wrong. I'm on your side lol. I think LLMs are extremely wasteful and bad for the environment, generative AI also. I would rather we invest all this computing power for real world applications. It feels a lot of this LLM stuff is just like you said, trying to get rid of workers.

My point was more that I don't think Nvidia's future revenue will solely be LLM based AI. I think all machine learning will disrupt their industries in some sense. And I think even when this bubble pops. It would only be a minor setback considering ML simply needs a lot of compute.

I think it's important to keep in mind that LLMs are not the only AI. There's also a lot of other machine learning happening. Think of DLSS, object recognition, pattern recognition. These are also used in things such as cancer research and medicine. I think it will slow down but not disappear tbh.

I've been on and off wanting to create my own roguelite. Playing Qud inspired me to get started and regardless of if I end up being able to finish. Playing Qud reminded me why I love roguelites.

The UI looks absolutely stunning. The art too of course but hot damn that's a great looking UI.

Looks pretty swell!

Picked it up a couple of days ago. Have been loving it so far. Live and drink.

Bro norovirus isn't real. I'm just shitting my pants to own the libs.
January 3, 2025 at 10:51 AM
Yeah it's strange since it feels they tried to cover way too much story in too few episodes. It feels like there were supposed to be three seasons considering how many time skips we had.

So far it's been great for individual textures and model files but being able to represent whole scenes would really set scale up the usability. If I have any ideas I'll shoot you some posts. I'll definitely be prototyping during my holidays with this :).

I think I'd need to use Gigi a bit more to form fully coherent ideas for materials and geometry. I think possibly having a scene node which allows you to process all geometry and textures cpu side so you can setup a bindless setup would be nice. Since every engine has their own scene formats

I got a copy since I saw the video. Been loving the game so far. Thanks for making a great game. :)
