Believe the promoter of the series is bound to find a replacement in the schedule or risk losing part of the money used to pay for the season. The technicality is there because Pin was awarded the pole points in Qatar for R2, regardless of it starting.

This is pretty silly! The extra race means Abbi could lose it after winning it!
Not a fan of adding extra races like this, it’s far too late! Unfortunate the Qatar race got cancelled but this isn’t a not a solution!

Rather bizarre circumstances for F1 Academy. Abbi Pulling has been 'de-crowned' champion because of the addition of a third race in Abu Dhabi, after the cancellation of Race 2 in Qatar.
With 84 points to score and Dorianne Pin only 83 points behind Pulling, she mathematically could still win. #F1

In IndyCar we see the caution thrown immediately for debris on ovals, cars are travelling at circa 200mph and striking debris could have catastrophic consequences. Given where this mirror was coupled with the cars doing 200mph, you would have expected the FIA to have acted immediately 🤔 #QatarGP #F1
The FIA's explanation for its handling of the mirror on track in the Qatar GP is nonsense.
It says it's not normal practice to put an SC out for small debris off the racing line. Which completely overlooks the fact this was next to the racing line at the only overtaking point on the lap.
