This literally sounds worse. Wanting your employees to "smile when a customer approaches and greet them" is the worst style of management. They were doing their job, if a customer stands somewhere and just stares at them that's on the customer. Again, it is incumbent upon YOU to request assistance.

That's not what she will earn, it will be a small amount 8-10k tops. She will also still need to purchase healthcare. It's the regular retirement for federal employees and nothing amazing.
