A new Home Alone movie but in reverse: Jonathan Banks plays a now-retired Kevin McAllister who absolutely wrecks Buzz’s grandkids when they arrive to pick him up for Christmas Eve dinner.

Had a terrific week of birding in Dublin and London earlier in October before meeting up with my family who came later. The Cliff Walk on the Howth peninsula in Dublin is now one of my all-time favorite hikes! ebird.org/tripreport/4...

While I was taking this picture the couple that lives there now came to the window. The man started screaming at me, the woman just stood there with a tense look on her face, rubbing his back with one hand.

Loved this book. Takes place in the UK but also resonated strongly for this American who grew up in the same “GenX ‘Latchkey’” era. Just the right amount of laughs and tears. #blackswangreen

Birding trip to Big Bend National Park was astounding, so much wildlife in plain view. Got the requisite Colima Warbler (not pictured) along with 34 other new species. Notable dips included burrowing owl, black-chinned sparrow, painted redstart, and Montezuma quail. ebird.org/tripreport/3...
