You could see how much someone used it as a tool to research vs how much they used it as a substitute for thinking. (granted these were mostly business and ai-focused classes)

During my masters, we were asked to cite our llms including our prompts, and we were assessed at how well we used it to support our work. Like proofreading, using it for finding sources, and brainstorming were encouraged, as well as some advanced prompt engineering that required some prior research.
