Yes. My entire school life would’ve been different if I was just allowed to be like, “this is a lot today, let me stay home.” But no, so I’d go and vomit on the floor from stress. Or go and insist on calling someone to come get me. Every day. I refuse to do that to my kids. It fucked me up.
