I found that article pretty interesting considering how revolutionary #lost was at the time of its release. Not analyzing it through the lens of today’s world which I think is trying to focus on social inequalities. Nothing is perfect but they definitely tried to have a multicultural cast.

Meaning not only focused on the 4 “main” white characters (Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke).. he also expressed that his storyline should show more than just his relationship with his estranged son. He mentioned not wanted to feed into the stereotype of a black father not caring about his black son.

Also, from what I’ve read Walt and Michael storyline was cut short for a few reasons after season 2.. one of them being the Walt hitting puberty (totally agree with you - the audience would have understood) and another reason was because the actor who played Michael asked for more balance storylines

I completely agree!! Have you seen the 11 min epilogue to #lost called t”the new man in charge” it has Walt in it and heavily implies he’s the one to take over the protector of the island job after Hurley. Which I love! I didn’t know it existed until VERY recently. I found it on YouTube.

This is very interesting. & thank you so much for taking the time to share this knowledge with me. I think I have a journey ahead to learn more about Buddhism. Sounds like a wonderful belief system that isn’t centered around a god/the Bible. Which I fear has been taken so out of context these days.

Genuine question, how can you be Atheist & Buddhist at the same time? I have no knowledge of Buddhism so maybe that’s where my confusion started. Is there not a God/gods in that belief system? Be well, fellow human 🤍🙏🏽

It’s so sad that so many people hear this & say “good, let them starve.” We’ve lost so much of our humanity & empathy for our fellow humans. I’m always struggling with be kind to everyone or putting terrible people in their place. So now, I just pray that everyone has the day they deserve. 🤍🙏🏽

I totally agree that he tries to seem all knowing & it wildly backfires, many times. He’s so human in those moments, so flawed yet still has so much faith. He’s the only one of them that realized his life was better on the island. & something about that always makes me have a soft spot for him.

I’m rewatching #lost, as well! Locke used to annoy me a bunch too in the beginning. Now on rewatch, knowing how the story ends.. I find early Locke to be so admirable & inspiring. He’s the only one of the group that is a true believer without any hint of fact. He’s a genuine “Man of Faith”.
