The ARC numbers are good, but GDPVal was definitely the one that jumped out at me. It was also interesting to see the Opus 4.5 and Gemini 3 numbers as an aside.

And in the doesn’t work bucket, it’s like you say, where it gets too information dense.

More generally, I’ve found images that describe the core concepts of papers useful - e.g. the Dynamic Sparse Attention one from a while back. It helps to provide a map to frame the text. Similarly, anything which describes a relationship between objects/concepts, or leads through a process.

Today’s worked for me because I (weirdly) hadn’t heard about the latency thing before. So when you mentioned it before, I had to intuit why that would be so. I got a little dopamine hit from the graphic as it neatly explained and confirmed what I thought.

I know I’m just describing what an infographic is supposed to do, but I appreciated this one in context.

For the record, as a somewhat visual learner, I have been enjoying your turn towards infographics. I was just reflecting with today’s post that it’s a useful shortcut for the reader to better understanding of the text.
