Today I transported 4 kittens to and from the spay/neuter clinic - Atticus, Scout, Mayella and Calpurnia. I recognized Atticus and Scout as characters in "To Kill a Mockingbird" but had to do a Google search for the other 2 names. The picture is of Atticus. Nice group of kittens ❤️

My shelter task this morning was to transport 8 cats to our spay/neuter clinic and 3 cats to our normal vet. One of my passengers was this beautiful 8 year old female tripod named Kemper. I hope she finds a good forever home. She's very sweet and always gets up to greet me when I'm at the shelter ❤️

My shelter task this morning was to transport 8 cats to our spay/neuter clinic and 3 cats to our normal vet. One of my passengers was this beautiful 8 year old female tripod named Kemper. I hope she finds a good forever home. She's very sweet and always gets up to greet me when I'm at the shelter ❤️
This is Frantic, a 9 month old male cat. He sat in my lap for a long time then peered out the door of the shelter's cat room when I was about to leave. Frantic is scheduled to meet potential adapters this weekend 👍 I enjoyed lap time with him and hope his adoption goes through. He deserves a home ❤️

Today I transported Cecil from the vet's office to the cat shelter. Poor Cecil has bandages on both front paws and a protective cone. He couldn't exit his carrier because the cone was wider than the carrier door. I helped him get out 😅 He'll go to a foster home tomorrow to get healthy 👍 Love him ❤️😺

Today I transported Cecil from the vet's office to the cat shelter. Poor Cecil has bandages on both front paws and a protective cone. He couldn't exit his carrier because the cone was wider than the carrier door. I helped him get out 😅 He'll go to a foster home tomorrow to get healthy 👍 Love him ❤️😺
Today I transported 5 cats back to the shelter after spay/neuter surgery. I put Jazetta in the front seat by me since she's my favorite. She was still woozy from anesthesia so her little head was bobbing left and right. Poor girl! Now that she's been spayed she'll go on the available cats list ❤️

Today I transported 5 cats back to the shelter after spay/neuter surgery. I put Jazetta in the front seat by me since she's my favorite. She was still woozy from anesthesia so her little head was bobbing left and right. Poor girl! Now that she's been spayed she'll go on the available cats list ❤️

My transport job today was to pick up some printed promotional material and drop it off at the shelter. While there I popped in the cat room and Giggleshits immediately started following me around 😂 He's so cute and will get adopted quickly so I'm enjoying every opportunity to hang out with him ❤️

Meet Prudent and Provident! They are 8 months old. Can you tell they're siblings? 😄 They were at one of the pet stores that partners with our cat shelter to promote adoptions but one got sick with a nasty URI so I transported them back to the shelter for medical care. We'll get them healthy again! ❤️

We'll get them healthy again! ❤️

I never imagined posting an AI generated image but this one really made me laugh. My image generator was instructed to create an image of a cat playing with a toy mouse and this is what it came up with. I guess the AI needs a little more work 😂

This is Ziggy Stardust ❤️ I just transported Ziggy from the vets office to the cat shelter where I volunteer. Tomorrow I'm transporting 5 cats to the clinic for shots. They keep me busy but I love helping cats find homes 🐱

Today I transported 2 boxes of meds to the cat shelter. After dropping the meds off I went to the basement "intake" room where a lot of cats were waiting to be processed, including these 4 very active kittens. Wouldn't you love to foster them? ❤️

Today I transported Felicity to the vet for an appointment. She's in the shelter's foster program. The details are protected by kitty HIPAA regulations but a nasty rumor is spreading that she's going through rabies protocol for biting a vet who tried to feel her up. Don't tell Santa ❤️🎅

Today I took 4 of the shelter cats to 2 pet stores that partner with our shelter to help cats find homes. I hope they find forever homes before Christmas. When I got back to the shelter I hung out for a while in the free roam cat room. This one year old female tabby is named Amberline. So cute! ❤️

Today I transported 9 cats from the clinic back to the shelter after getting shots. Pirate kitten Percy was among the group. I've transported him many miles due to his eye problems. He looks a lot better now and no longer needs a cone 👍 I got him out and gave him Greenies. He's a sweetheart ❤️

Today I was asked to transport 6 cats back to the shelter after their spay/neuter surgery. As I sat in the office after dropping them off I glanced at the door to the "free roam" cat room and this cat was peering through the door at me. Cute! ❤️ I always love spending time at the shelter.

This is Percy, a pirate kitty in the shelter's foster program. Last week I transported him 80 miles round trip to get his eye removed and today I made the same trip so the vet could check his infected eye socket. In spite of his ordeal over the past week he purrs non-stop. I love this little guy ❤️

This is one of the cats in the shelters free roam cat room. I'm still volunteering but I've cut back because I'm super sensitive to even small cat scratches 😢 Today I transported Fidel to the vet. He was a bit spicy but I wrapped a towel around him to avoid injury and got him into a carrier 👍

Today our cat shelter had a float in the local 4th of July parade. This cat was one of many that rode in our float (the shelter special events trailer).We also had 6 strollers loaded up with cute cats and kittens. Our group was well-received by everyone on the parade route, especially the kids ❤️😻🐱

I went back to the shelter today to spend time with the 4 gray kittens in our meeting room. The shelter has a kitten shower scheduled for tomorrow afternoon so this is my last opportunity to play with them before they get adopted (hopefully). I hope they all find good loving forever homes ❤️

The meeting room at the shelter has 4 cuddly kittens in it. Normally the shelter only houses adult cats since kittens go straight to foster homes. I usually transport cats but when I see a group like this I don my "socializer" volunteer hat ❤️ I think I'll return tomorrow to play with this litter 😅
