That was MLK’s approach with “Letter from a Birmingham Jail.” He wanted white Christian clergy to actually lean into their faith rather than abandon it, and in doing so come to the realization that segregation was against their faith

Also, one is probably not going to be able to convince an evangelical to abandon the faith. But one might be able to convince them that their faith is actually about love and helping one another which is obviously at odds with what the current admin is doing

Dang it, “Schrödinger's”!

It’s Schroeder’s congressional power. When Dems are the majority, they say they can’t get anything done because the GOP minority makes it impossible.

When Dems are in the minority, they say they can’t stop anything because the GOP is in the majority.

I totally agree. Not to get too meta with it, but Blanc and Jud serve as an example of how faith and secularism can coexist and have mutual respect in a pluralistic society

Along with everything you wrote, he is also not honest about the film. While it’s true that Blanc does not convert and stays an atheist, he is quite clearly taken with Jud and his version of Christianity and at several points actively encourages Jud to practice his ministry; whereas, he abhors Wicks

Yes! As someone from Alabama who now lives in California, I agree with all you said. And there are certainly rural areas here in CA that feel just as conservative as any place in AL

I have no problem with that. I just feel what she is trying to defend against is not actually the complaint that people have against the NYT
November 13, 2025 at 11:35 PM
But again, that’s not really the issue. I’m sure you’re a great reporter, but people are mad at the NYT because the it seems as a whole the institution reports on Trump very differently than Dems. If it happened to Biden or Kamala we all have the sense the coverage would be so much worse
November 13, 2025 at 11:30 PM
We can all see the difference. They buried H Clinton with stories about her emails, but they barely connect Trump with Epstein (comparatively)
November 13, 2025 at 11:19 PM
I also can’t help but think she is obfuscating the issue. She defends NYT by saying they have thoroughly reported on Epstein. But the complaint that people have is that the amount and type of reporting on Trump is vastly different than how they covered H. Clinton, Biden, and other Dems.
November 13, 2025 at 11:18 PM
I think they thought 2016 Trump was a blip and that everything would go back to normal after 2020 and they could just do politics as before as if it never happened.

But then when Trump won again, that worldview was shattered and they couldn’t mentally recover from it

Soooo… there was a post about this on an Arabic language subreddit and they were speculating that it’s his nickname that’s actually on the jersey since it’s clearly not his surname. Bro may have found a loophole to getting it on, XFL style lol. Wonder if the coaches even know about it
August 30, 2025 at 10:37 PM
Regardless, it’s great. I love seeing it

I’m still curious about it though. He doesn’t have Al-Garawi on his jersey. From the picture it is عجوج which would be like “Ajouj”

I would also include some uses of AI where the the entire purpose of it is to extract as much as possible from the consumer

Delta moves toward eliminating set prices in favor of AI that determines how much you personally will pay for a ticket
The airline touted a partnership with an AI-enabled revenue system as a step on the road to fully personalized ticket pricing, part of its goal to raise profit margins long-term.
