Suit completed! Radiant Venture! The new Jirai-Kei welfare suit. With Nikki and Momo wearing lots of pink and black with a hint of purple. I love it a lot! Suit completed! Garden of dreams! A fancy greenish-yellow lady and a butler looking boy with butterfly-wing esque ends to his otherwise mostly black suit. There’s a lot of rainbow colors and it’s very pretty. The contrast between the lady and the boy is good too! She is pale colors, he is dark.

Witch Moly is a recharge from Love Nikki- she is a pastel witch with lots of frills and ribbons who rides on a fluffy alpaca 🦙 Unfading flower is a recharge from Shining Nikki - while I do love pastels and cute things, I also love red and black. She is a Lolita-doll girl who carries a plush bunny and wears a rose eyepatch over her right eye. Her outfit is mostly red, with some white, gold and pink parts too. Infinity Nikki I struggled a bit to pick a favourite but maybe this one? Crimson Rhapsody- a gacha 5*. She is also mostly red, with some black, gold and brown. She also carries a plush of an unspecified animal(likely made up)

We still have no idea what’s going on!” Rants Kujo Tsukiyo, a girl who looks like a doll and is fond of them and the moon. She became close to Shiori after meeting her. “Hey, Shiori, are you free tonight? Let’s go watch the moon for real!” They often hang out. Shiori wordlessly writes, Tsukiyo respects this. Putting a hand over her mouth while thinking “Oops, I better stay quiet. Right now, Shiori’s head is overflowing with words.” - respecting her friend kindly! Shiori’s monologue “I wrote and wrote but I can’t keep up. This is too much of a burden for someone who’s as introverted as me… Now that it has come to this, I’m desperate too. I’ll throughly investigate what happened!” She thinks to herself, excited about her story. “Shiori!! What about the moon!?” Tsukiyo repeats, concerned they won’t get to spend precious time together as she so desired. Thankfully, things go ahead. Tsukiyo and Shiori get to look at the moon together! “The moon is really beautiful tonight” “do you always come here?” “Every once in a while” The title page for KamiNomi chapter/‘flag’ 240(it’s a shounen series, it’s pretty long. Under 300 chapters tho and SO worth it) “Surprisingly, these two ladies understand each other as they gaze at the moon” “A half moon. ‘Embracing the light and bearing the darkness, the moon treads through the cold and distant night…’” “I know that poem..!” “You do..!?” “‘A golden rabbit’ by Haruko Endou, published by Nohara press!” Shiori happily explains, a book in hand. Tsukiyo squeals happily, they’re both a fan of the same thing! “You really know a lot!!” “I-I just like to read…” The girls sit down on a bench, Tsukiyo brings out her porcelain doll. “This is Luna! She’s my friend!” She introduces her to Shiori. “Oh, h-hello!” Shiori politely greets Tsukiyo’s friend(a doll) “It’s cold, have some tea” Tsukiyo offers some warm tea served from a proper tea set and all. “A tea service in a place like this… She sure is gusty..” Thinks Shiori. “I’ve never met anyone so knowledgeable before… She’s really a wonderful girl… and she didn’t even flinch when I showed Luna to her!” Tsukiyo thinks to herself as elegantly sips at tea, glancing at Shiori. “She looks like a doll when you see her up close… Is it really ok for riffraff like me to talk to someone as cute as her..?” Worries Shiori. Their friendship is still budding but very very wholesome!!

“Was someone here with me??” Shiori wonders, told that it was only her. Who else would be here? Keima..??? Who??? She doesn’t remember anything. “I can’t remember but I feel like I’ve been dreaming for a while … but I feel like I’ve got something in that dream-! I’m sure of it, I got… something-!” Shiori opens a window, feeling a breeze on her skin for the first time in a while. She is safe and ready to face reality. (Meanwhile Elsie and Keima are cleaning up after their feat, repairing the roof which they drilled a hole in to reach Shiori… Well, Elsie did. Keima isn’t helping much… 😔 - the anime shows more him thinking about what just happened and the difference between himself and Shiori. Did this save-the-girl affect him more than he lets on…? Yes!) Shiori after story; shows how things changed for the better. She was able to protect her library and its books. She also became a lot more talkative! She’s still bad at punctuation tho- talking to the point of passing out from exhaustion… Shiori learns to appreciate music more, granted she prefers to read lyric books. She began to write a story about what happened to her, sure that there really was someone else with her that day… It’s a little embarrassing though so she doesn’t want anyone else to know what she’s writing. “But I also wanted to talk.. I want to talk about books … to be heard!” Shiori thinks over her past, all the times she wanted to talk but couldn’t…. Now it’s too late and she is so afraid… “If only I had courage… but I don’t… Besides, my voice can’t reach anyone….” And Shiori falls deep into the pile of books, her precious fortress and a metaphor. “I’ll give you… the courage-!” Keima says as he pulls Shiori out into the bright light of reality-! Later, Shiori faces the consequences of her actions. Apologising sincerely. Others are shocked by the fact that she’s talking and so much-!

The truth is out-! What Shiori actually wants is …-!
Shiori welcomes Keima to her little hideout(a fortress made from books), referring to him as ‘antisocial’ - he took out his PSP rather than try and talk to her. Letting Shiori panic over whether she should or not. The lights suddenly go out, causing the pair to fall into a pile of books by accident. “Geez, how long will reality continue to hound me…? I wish it would just leave me in peace…” Keima eggs Shiori on once more, he knows she agrees. To Shiori, reality is frightening. Socialising with other people is such a pain… but Katsuragi… understands? “All I want is to live a peaceful life inside this library…” “That’s a lie.” Keima claims bluntly, shocking Shiori beyond words. “You actually want to talk… with others…. But you’re worried… You don’t want people to hate you after they’ve talked with you”- Keima deduces, leaving Shiori flustered and unsure “b-but everyone … feels that way:..! Even you Katsuragi!” “I think nothing of the real world” Keima turns to face Shiori head on, telling her bluntly how he feels. She is shy and afraid to speak introvert, he is not. Because he has his own world to believe in(his games). “So, do you want to protect your books Shiori… or do you want to protect your sanctuary from the outside world?”

This is spoilers for the ending of what’s going on- I kept quite a bit of the plot out but tldr the library is throwing out books to make room for digitalisation… 😔Shiori is strongly against it but doesn’t know what to do to stop it… so she panics and does something extreme-!
Shiori suddenly looks herself in the library, Keima says there was plenty of warning signs. She was unhappy with the developments there but no one was able to listen … Only Keima noticed! Inside, Shiori panics. What has she done!? Well, she was desperate so something quite drastic! To her, it was important though. She couldn’t see any other way to protect what she cares about more than anything- her precious place in this world: her library and its books! Things are getting more intense by the minute though, even with earplugs in Shiori can hear people banging on the windows. “Why is yelling so terrifying!?” (MOOD), she then hears a loud crash “Katsuragi!” Much to Shiori’s surprise, with the help of supernatural powers, Keima made it into her library. He says he’s here to support her! How did he get in?? There’s no other entrances! “I thought he’s coming just to bother me… but he shows up even at a time like this… Who is he? He’s almost like… a character from a novel” …. Shiori offers the mysterious Keima some tea.

Shiori and Keima’s relationship is honestly so cute 🥺I need a Keima in my life! Honestly all the routes are pretty good and Keima is an amazing protagonist even if he might not seem it (spoilers but his character development thru out the series is-!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🙏Godly)
Shiori’s thoughts end up being said again, Keima tells her openly that she’s speaking normally much to Shiori’s surprise! Because she spoke to him again yesterday? Because she’s getting used to him..?? She ponders it Keima suddenly praises the library which Shiori is so fond of. He complains that outside is noisy, that he just wants to live in peace- something which deeply resonates with Shiori (AND ME) Shiori, bright red, sits near to Keima. Shyly agreeing to what he said, describing their school library as a place that “protects us from the tumult of reality. Like a fortress of paper”… girl uses massive words, sasuga bookworm. The mood between them is light hearted, so Keima takes the opportunity to introduce himself. Shiori is a little startled but shyly introduces herself as well. She later panics over it, regretting it because he’s ’dangerous’ and that she answered on reflex … “and yet… it felt like for a moment we had connected somehow” she ponders before shaking it off as probably nothing.

Elsie comes up with a theory “maybe the truth is, Shiori really does want to talk!” This is true. Shiori craves for someone to listen to her, to patiently wait for her. She wishes that our ancestors had invented telepathy instead! Because then, there’d be no problems. She could be understood! Keima eggs Shiori on again, this time she whisper-yells ‘moron’. It’s not that Keima is trying to make her mad, he’s trying to engage her in conversation- the fact that Shiori’s words changed from ‘idiot’ to ‘moron’ is a HUGE change according to Keima! “To examine in the heart of a humanities girl, you must check her gut reactions! Just because her exterior is, doesn’t mean her interior is! It’s possible there’s huge changes going on within her heart, so if we miss the small signs we’ll regret it later on” - KEIMA I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH!!!! Fun fact, I share a birthday with him hehe~ it’s my greatest honor 🥹❤️ Shiori continues to interact with Keima, nothing is going well. She wanted to apologise but instead ends up banning him and saying way too much..! Her thoughts and voice ended up getting reversed so she ran away in a panic

Shiori then snaps “I-idiot!!” (Incredibly softly yelling) at him. Before running away again. Elsie disapproves of how Keima handled the situation, however Keima is able to prove his point- thanks to his treatment of Shiori, purposely egging her on, they were able to hear her inner monologue! He is unafraid of making a bad impression (as it prioritises the girl’s happiness! - this is Keima’s life motto btw, he says it multiple times in canon) Meanwhile, Shiori laments the previous conversation. Why did she say that? She shouldn’t have said that! She literally just thanked him..! “How is it that I couldn’t say ‘thank you’ without messing up but I could call him an idiot without any issue!? It should have been the opposite… my mouth is useless. Stupid, stupid mouth..” From a young age, Shiori has always struggled to communicate. She was known to be ‘slow’, but that wasn’t the case. Inside her mind, her thoughts were racing at full speed! She just didn’t know how to put it into words… That was why she was blamed for breaking a vase when she didn’t do it and why she wasn’t able to give her opinion of a book she loved so much she read it 24 times! She tried to write her feelings down on paper but instead got called ‘weird’ … 😔

Keima decides to tease Shiori, saying something he knows will bother her. She can’t speak well, she can’t even say “thank you” without messing up.
Shiori ponders how to thank Keima (for saving her from a falling book), the seconds pass and she stares at her book “principles of economics”, as a result, she shyly answers “th… thank-nomics” Silence strikes as the pair realise what just happened- Shiori blushes bright red and rushes to leave. Hoping it’ll fade in a lapse of their memories. Meanwhile, Keima eyes the books. “You know… We don’t really need books anymore” Keima heartlessly tells the kindhearted librarian, making her freeze in her tracks and forget her previous embarrassment. Shiori’s mental state rages a war. She wants to fight back! To tell him otherwise! “B-but I guess everyone has their own values… I need to show tolerance and accept that… he has the right to say what he wants… In any case, I’m not brave enough to debate with a stranger”- once again, Shiori walks away. So Keima continues, saying that books take up too much space and they should just scan them.

Keima realises this and quickly wants to give up on helping Shiori much to Elsie’s concern… Despite what he said, Keima still saves Shiori when a book neatly falls on her- much to Shiori’s surprise and confusion. She wonders why her… did he really help her??

Shiomiya Shiori is important. A thread of rambling, probably a once off since this manga ended a very long time ago. 10/10 recommend! It’s surprisingly deep and very funny. #kaminomi #ShiomiyaShiori I don’t care how old this series is, it is GOOD!!!
A girl approaches the librarian asking her where she can find more books like this, however the librarian is deeply engrossed in her book and doesn’t hear her straight away until she raises her voice more. Later, the librarian brings a trolley with a total of 458 books which are ‘similar to this one’ that the girl was reading earlier. The librarian is very knowledgeable about what her library holds, however she’s ashamed to say it as she fears she’ll be considered a ‘weirdo’. She then realises maybe she over did it with bringing sooo many books rather than just a few. Mentally calling herself an idiot, the librarian panics inside her head before retreating back to her book- rather than trying to deal with the escalating situation. “I’m bad at talking with other people… but that’s ok. So long as I have my books … and I’m in here… I’m ok. I will live out my life within this castle” - monologues the librarian known to be Shiomiya Shiori.
