I realized that I am strong, despite facing many challenges, I have become more mature.

This article talked about the setbacks he faced during his PhD. As I read, I cried, thinking, 'If someone as accomplished as him encountered so many difficulties, I can't give up. I can overcome.' I was fortunate to attend his online seminar, which also discussed resilience.

3/4 The third person who influenced me the most is Professor Swanton @charlesswanton.bsky.social. During my graduation period last year, I was overwhelmed by stress and often cried for a long time. I remember being deeply impacted by his article, 'Turning a failing PhD around'.

As I read, I cried, thinking, 'If someone as accomplished as him encountered so many difficulties, I can't give up. I can overcome.' Later, I was fortunate to attend his online seminar, which also discussed resilience. I realized that I am strong; despite facing many challenges. I am more mature.

This summer, I had a chance to speak with Vicky, she gave me a lot affirmation and made me more confident and convinced that I can successfully pursue my dreams. Her meticulous attitude towards research was also impressed me a lot. I am greatly appreciate it.

3/3 I also want to thank you @vickysanzmoreno.bsky.social, who is also one of the most outstanding scientists, who gave me a lot encouragement when I was first watched her video in Youtube one year ago. She talked about why she decided to chose to be a scientists.

2/3 In this Q&A, Professor Joyce also talked about what young scientists should focus on- Combing interests with a supportive lab environment. I can't agree more!!
